Illinois New Faculty Orientation (INFO)

Opportunity. Innovation. Home.

Welcome to the University of Illinois and INFO 2024! Whether you are attending the in-person event on August 21, or you are looking to connect online, we hope the resources below will inform and inspire you as you begin your career journey at Illinois.

Through this year’s theme, Boldly Illinois, we’ll explore how to boldly include everyone in your teaching, research and collaborations; innovate in your career at Illinois; and engage with the community both locally, statewide, nationally and globally.

Welcome to Illinois New Faculty Orientation (INFO)

What an exciting time to join this vibrant campus and community. The 2024-2025 academic year is the beginning of your career journey at Illinois and to kick it off, we invite you to attend the 2024 Illinois New Faculty Orientation (INFO), the first event in a yearlong series of opportunities for new faculty members.  If your career journey started in the 2023-2024 academic year and you did not attend the 2023 INFO, we hope that you can join us this year!

INFO 2024 was held on Wednesday, August 21.  We will host a mini-INFO, the Illinois New Faculty Winter Welcome, on January 16, 2025.  At this event, you will gain essential information to help you through your first years as a valued member of this prestigious academic community and a chance to network with your new colleagues at Illinois.  Registration will open soon!

INFO 2024 is just the beginning of our campuswide programming designed with new faculty members in mind. See our Stay Engaged section to learn more about year-round opportunities to onboard and integrate into the university community.
