The Office of the Provost supports several programs to bring new visibility and improvement to teaching.
These programs include:
- Provost’s Initiative on Teaching Advancement (PITA)
- Campus Awards for Excellence in Instruction
- University Distinguished Teacher-Scholar Award
- Instructional Innovation Mini Grants
The Teaching Advancement Board supports college-based professional development programs on teaching effectiveness and works closely with instructional development in the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning.
Instructional Development provides workshops and the Faculty Retreat on Active Learning, an annual one-day event.
