The Dual Career Program is a service provided by Human Resources to work with faculty and units on dual career cases. The Dual Career liaison can work with Unit Executive Officers to identify and explore appropriate opportunities for a faculty partner both on campus and in the community.
How can the Dual Career Program Assist Your Unit?
Recruitment
The Dual Career Liaison will consult on best practices for couples’ visits to campus and assist with generating meetings for the dual career partner.
Retention
Life changes happen; the Dual Career Liaison can meet with partners to help them find new opportunities.
Search Waiver
If the partner meets the needs and requirements of the unit, a search waiver can be generated in Cornerstone by selecting ‘Dual Career’ under the Appointment Type field in the New Appointment Form.
Funding
Units hiring a dual career partner, can make a funding request together with the unit of the lead faculty member for funding from the Office of the Provost via the Dual Career Appointment form in Hire Touch.
