Xiaobei Chen is the Assistant Provost and Director of Data and Analytics. She oversees and directs comprehensive data-driven activities and programs to support and enhance the budget and financial analysis functions of the Office of the Vice Provost/Associate Chancellor for Budget and Resource Planning.

In this role, Ms. Chen is responsible for managing and executing a wide variety of operational tasks and analyses to inform institutional decision making, policy making, and strategic planning. Her primary responsibilities focus on enhancing the campus budget model, conducting budget forecasts and analyses, harnessing data for annual budget allocations, forecasting tuition revenue, and assessing Indirect Cost Recovery (ICR) distributions and policy changes. She also contributes to various campus committees and initiatives by serving as a subject matter expert in data and budget planning.
