Associate Provost for Educational Programs and Success Initiatives
As the Associate Provost for Educational Programs and Success Initiatives, Kathy Martensen provides oversight and guidance for the program and course approval processes, including the General Education Board and academics within the campus’ Living-Learning Communities.
The primary contact for student-related concerns, Ms. Martensen convenes the Provost’s Undergraduate Student Advisory Board, coordinates planning and implementation of various educational initiatives such as the Winter Session, and manages the campus’ Academic Catalog. She has 15 years of experience in academic advising and higher education administration. Kathy earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work with a minor in women’s studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
