As the Major Awards Coordinator, Kim Green coordinates major national and international faculty award nominations on behalf of campus, serves as the campus-level resource for units in their efforts to nominate faculty for prestigious awards and honors, and is involved in various activities that help to recognize the achievements of Illinois faculty. She also manages the Provost’s Office website.
Prior to joining the Provost’s Office, Kim served as the Program Coordinator in Mechanical Science and Engineering for seven years, with responsibilities in the areas of faculty awards, named faculty appointments, faculty recruiting, promotion and tenure, and internal and external departmental communications. She was also the Director of Human Resources & Facilities in the College of Law for four years. Before coming to the University of Illinois, Ms. Green was a legal assistant for almost 15 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in paralegal studies from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
