Melissa Chan is a Major Awards Coordinator who facilitates the identification of major scholarly awards and recognitions to ensure successful faculty are appropriately recognized. She works in conjunction with the colleges on campus to nominate University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign faculty for these designations.
Dana Cohen
As the Director of Faculty Recruitment, Dana Cohen oversees faculty recruitment, orientation, and retention strategy across the University of Illinois campus, as well as the Dual Career Program at Illinois Human Resources. In this role, she works closely with deans and department heads to improve the recruitment and retention of top faculty talent and to support talent acquisition needs for academic leadership. She also continually assesses current faculty recruitment practices and initiatives across campus to identify areas for improvement of institutional strategic goals.
Jean Hanks
Jean Hanks is the principal assistant to the Executive Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. She organizes the Executive Vice Provost’s time and commitments; assists the Executive Vice Provost in organizing and tracking projects; assists with forwarding faculty affairs processes; and assists with the Campus Committee on Promotion and Tenure.
José Cañas
José Cañas serves as the primary support for the special projects and events team in the Office of the Provost. His responsibilities include calendar and project management, maintaining a comprehensive list of events coordinated by the Office of the Provost, and obtaining and managing information from university offices and outside vendors. Mr. Cañas serves as the liaison for the special projects and events team with units across campus and external constituents.
Alyssa Aiello
As the front end developer, Alyssa Aiello manages, maintains and develops features for the websites affiliated with the Office of the Provost. With a background in web design and development, she strives to make the user experience the best that it can be while ensuring adherence to Illinois brand standards.
Stephanie Henry
As the Director of Communications, Stephanie Henry coordinates various means of communications for the Office of the Provost through research, writing, editing, and synthesizing information about people, events, activities, and initiatives, and transmits that information to diverse audiences. She assists with annual communications planning and strategy, working together with the Office of Strategic Communications & Marketing to develop, carry out, and manage a full array of communications activities to ensure that the Office of the Provost’s many stakeholders are kept aware of critical and emerging issues and projects.
Charlotte Peloquin
As Designer, Charlotte Peloquin leads design and visual communications for the Office of the Provost. Employing and enhancing best practices and Illinois branding standards, she works with the office’s communications team and the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing to create and carry out a full complement of visual communications activities to ensure the Office of the Provost’s many stakeholders are kept aware of continuing and emerging activities.
Robin Wynne
Robin Wynne assists the Assistant Provost for Faculty Appointments and Policy Administration. Her responsibilities include management of personnel material for faculty and administrative appointments, sabbatical cycle care, tenure record maintenance and agreements, and multi-year contract administration.
Jessica Mette
As the Assistant Provost for Faculty Appointments and Policy Administration, Jessica Mette provides support on various faculty matters involving appointment structure, governance, and policies. Jessica’s portfolio also includes acting as liaison to the University of Illinois Board of Trustees for faculty personnel matters, including hiring, promotion and tenure, sabbaticals, contracts, and notice of non-reappointments, as well as giving broad perspective and access to faculty employment matters.
