The Academic Leadership Series is designed for new and experienced Executive Officers who wish to engage in dialogue, share best practices, and discuss issues such as leadership, financial and strategic planning, and faculty development.

The remainder of the Academic Leadership Seminar series for Spring 2020 will be conducted in a virtual format. Concurrent with campus steps in handling ongoing concerns with COVID-19, topics in this series have been revised. In addition to the topic of each seminar, we will provide updates on the campus response to COVID-19 and facilitate conversations on the impact of these unprecedented events on our faculty, staff, and students.
The following sessions are for department executive officers and will be made available using Zoom. Please mark the following dates for the sessions currently scheduled:
- Session 1: Friday, March 27, 2020 Alternative Course Instruction: Effective Practices and Resources
- Session 2: Wednesday, April 8, 2020 Strategies for Building Community & Supporting Staff and Faculty Members through the COVID-19 Pandemic

Session 1: Alternative Course Instruction: Effective Practices and Resources
This session we will focus on the unit leader’s role in facilitating effective teaching practices among faculty members and students. Panelists will also share resources related to alternative formats to face-to-face course instruction.
