Celebrating Academic Excellence is an annual spring event hosted by the Office of the Provost to recognize scholarly achievements bestowed on faculty during the previous year.

Included in the recognition program are recipients of national and international awards for scholarly endeavors and research; member and fellow election to national and international academies and societies; campus awards for Excellence in Faculty Leadership and Excellence in Instruction; Distinguished Promotion Awards; scholars in the Center for Advanced Study; University Scholars; college and departmental named chairs and professors; and university and campus-wide endowed chairs and professors.
