The Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) Working Group was charged by Chancellor Robert Jones and former Provost Andreas Cangellaris in February 2022 to: (1) evaluate current disability services for Illinois students; (2) assess how DRES relates to its campus partners; (3) offer ideas about the best organizational location for student disability services, and (4) describe actions that would capitalize on Illinois’ tradition of excellence in disability research. The group’s report presents pointed observations that fall within the scope of its charge, followed by 14 recommendations.
