Capital Project Reconciliation Committee

Purpose

To coordinate the campus response to the changing environment for existing and planned capital projects.

Committee Composition

  • Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost, Chair
  • Senior Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation
  • Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
  • Senior Assistant Vice President for Capital Programs and Utility Services
  • Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement
  • Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities and Services
  • Assistant Provost for Capital Planning
  • Senior Director of Planning, Design and Construction

Meeting Frequency

  • As needed

Process

The committee will consider the campus’s strategic response to changing circumstances for existing and planned capital projects (e.g., unanticipated costs, etc.) and the emergence of new opportunities (e.g., unexpected donor interest, new RFPS, state mandates, etc.) in the broader context of established priorities, existing commitments, emerging goals, and the overall campus budget.

The Provost will set the agenda for discussion, with input from stakeholders. In turn, the F&S Senior Director for Planning, Design, and Construction and the Assistant Provost for Capital Planning will prepare background information for discussion, including potential options.

Final decisions rest with the Chancellor and the Provost.
