Urban Studies & Planning

Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.00.
  • Completed introductory coursework in Rhetoric (RHET 105), Microeconomics (Econ 102), Sociology, (SOC 100 or one of the following alternate courses:  AAS 100, AFRO 100, AIS 102, GEOG 101, GEOG 104, or LLS 100) and Statistics (UP 116 is preferred, STAT 100 accepted) is required, but if a GPA is 3.5+ the student may be recommended for transfer without some courses. Students who transfer as sophomores may also be given flexibility.
  • Complete the BAUSP transfer application found at: http://www.urban.illinois.edu/prospective-students/admissions/ba-in-urban-planning.

Application Periods:

The Department takes requests for transfer four times each year: the first ten days of the fall and spring semesters and during pre-registration for the following semester.
